Introducing the Southside Repeater System (SRS)
We are proud to introduce the Southside Repeater System, an all new wide area repeater system serving Pittsylvania County (including Chatham, Gretna, and more!) as well as the City of Danville.
SRS is a fully self sufficient Two-Way Radio system using Public safety and commercial grade infrastructure equipment providing reliable and private two-way radio coverage to the area.
The system is not dependent on cellular or Internet networks and can operate independently regardless of cellular or Internet outages in our area, and is intended for individuals, groups, families, or businesses looking for reliable forms of radio communication or as an alternative communication system in the event of a large-scale disaster event or ongoing communications infrastructure interruption.

System Coverage Map
These coverage maps are approximate estimates only and real world experience in coverage varies greatly dependent on a wide variety of factors. Just because the coverage map indicates there is or is not coverage in a particular area does not necessarily mean coverage will or will not be available in that area. SCS makes no representations of guaranteed coverage in any area, and can only make reasonable predictions based on available RF mapping software.

Bring Your Own Radio Plans – Digital
Under each of the below service plans, the user supplies his or her own radios to Southside Communication Services for system programming. The end user is responsible for all equipment maintenance, upkeep, and care. SCS will provide initial programming service for all BYOR devices. Subsequent programming changes after onboarding are subject to programming charges. UHF DMR Digital is the current Digital system offered. Contact us to confirm radio compatibility.
